Rain Garden Workshop - Feb 25, 9am-3pm Rain gardens add beauty to the landscape, help reduce flooding by allowing storm water to be absorbed by the plants and infiltrated into the ground, and help clean our streams and watersheds. You'll learn basic ecological concepts and how to make practical & cost-effective aestheci and ecological improvements through hands-on training creating and installing a functioning rain garden. The workshop will be led by Tennessee Environmental Council Executive Director, John McFadden (PhD). The workshop is ideal for city stormwater managers and coordinators, local park and greenway managers, greenway design consultants, watershed associations, landscapers and others interested in learning about rain gardens.
